About Us

From a relatively young age, one of my dreams was to become a Physiotherapist and live in Kelowna. Once I completed university, I wanted to focus on treating children. Now that I have 3 children of my own and have worked exclusively in the field of Plagiocephaly and Torticollis for many years, my own family has come together to help start this clinic in Kelowna to help me live my next dream. Everything from providing a comfortable family oriented clinic space, to toys for your children to engage them while I assess the best course of action for their individual needs. I have opened this clinic to give children a better chance of living their dreams.

I have seen first-hand that time is of the essence in these matters, and no child should have to wait for treatment in our country. Weeks matter when it comes to treating head shape and torticollis patients for a child develops so quickly at a young age. I will give your child the best chance possible and treat them as they are my own little one. I will help put parents concerns at ease by coaching them on what to do, and more importantly what movements NOT to do with their child.

My greatest memories are when happy parents remember me years later and thank me for helping their children grow up to lead a normal life. These parents are to be commended for taking action, sometimes even against the direction of professionals to get their children the care they deserve. Sometimes a second opinion can make the difference in giving someone the best chance for success. Please take comfort in knowing that I will never perform any procedure that causes your child any trauma or discomfort. There is never a need to do so, and you are your child’s best advocate. I will ensure your child has everything they need to put their challenges behind them and allow you to focus on their bright future.

We are opening with hours available on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. If your schedule requirements are outside those hours, please contact us and we will strive to accommodate your family. The Okanagan Head Shape and Torticollis Clinic is now open for your child’s care. Thank you for putting your trust in my hands.

  • Babies’ heads are somewhat soft and malleable due to their structure. As the baby grows and matures, these structures begin to tighten or “fuse”. The soft spots (fontanelle) and long skull joints (sutures) fill in and stiffen the skull making further head shape changes much more difficult to obtain. For most babies the window of opportunity is significantly reduced or closed by 12-14 months of age.
  • Early detection and treatment is crucial for the best possible outcome. It will also allow for prevention of many potential secondary issues such as delay in their motor milestones.
  • Early intervention is essential and we strive to minimize any wait times.
  • Calls and online appointment requests will be returned within 1 business day.
  • Initial assessments will be scheduled for within 1 to 2 weeks.
